National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited to Implement Multi-Batch Payment System for Instant Settlements

Karachi: The National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) announced plans to implement a new multi-batch payment system for T+0 GDS Instant Settlement transactions. This initiative is set to commence on August 26, 2025, following a previous circular issued in December 2024.

According to the NCCPL’s latest directive, the payment process will now be executed in six distinct batches throughout the trading week, from Monday to Friday. The schedule for these batches will begin with the collection phase, which is set to run from 9:00 AM to 16:00 PM. Payments will proceed with the first batch starting at 10:30 AM and the final batch concluding at 16:15 PM.

This strategic adjustment aims to streamline the settlement process, enhancing efficiency in the handling of instant transactions. The NCCPL has outlined specific time slots for each batch, ensuring systematic and timely settlements. The designated market category for these transactions remains under the purview of the NCCPL’s clearing and settlement operations.

This move comes as part of the NCCPL’s ongoing efforts to optimize financial operations within the local market. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), such changes are pivotal in maintaining the fluidity and reliability of transactional processes.

Participants in the market are advised to prepare for this transition and align their operations with the new schedule. The NCCPL emphasizes the importance of adherence to the designated times to facilitate smooth execution of the T+0 GDS Instant Settlement transactions.
