Imperial Limited Seeks Extension for Annual General Meeting Amid Audit Delays

Karachi: Imperial Limited, in a recent board meeting, has resolved to seek an extension for conducting its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025. The decision, announced on October 7, 2025, stems from ongoing delays in the completion of the annual audit of the company’s financial statements.

The audit, currently underway, has been described as the initial engagement for the newly appointed auditor, necessitating additional time for thorough completion and conclusion of fieldwork. The board has expressed its commitment to collaborating closely with the auditors to finalize the financial statements at the earliest possible date.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Imperial Limited plans to formally apply to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) for an extension in time to hold the AGM. The application process will include sharing a copy of the submission with stakeholders and providing SECP’s approval within 48 hours of its receipt.

The company has urged all certificate holders and relevant parties to be informed of this development, highlighting the procedural steps being taken to ensure compliance and transparency in the audit process.
