Lahore: Ghani Chemical Industries Limited (GCIL) has released a notice regarding the candidates who have filed for election as Directors at the company's upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). The AGM is scheduled for October 28, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the company's registered office in Model Town, Lahore.

The notice, issued under Section 159(4) of the Companies Act, 2017, lists the individuals who have declared their candidacy for the election. The candidates are categorized as follows: one Female Director candidate, Mrs. Rabia Atique; two Independent Director candidates, Hafiz Imran Lateef and Sheikh Muhammad Saleem Ahsan; and four Other Directors, namely Mr. Masroor Ahmad Khan, Mr. Atique Ahmad Khan, Hafiz Farooq Ahmad, and Mr. Muhammad Hanif.

Profiles of these candidates, highlighting their experience, competencies, and compliance with the Companies Act, 2017, have been made available on the company's website. The independent directors were selected based on criteria set out in Section 166 of the Companies Act, 2017, ensuring a focus on diversity, skills, and knowledge.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the number of candidates matches the number of director positions set by the Board of Directors under Section 159(1) of the Companies Act, 2017. Consequently, the listed individuals will be deemed elected as Directors of GCIL at the meeting.
