LSE Financial Services Limited Secures Extension for AGM Amid Compliance Advisory

Lahore: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has granted LSE Financial Services Limited an extension to hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM), allowing the company to present its audited financial statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, by November 27, 2025. This decision follows a request made by the company on October 31, 2025.

The SECP’s Specialized Companies Division, Lending & Private Fund Department, communicated the approval of the extension, emphasizing compliance with sections 132 and 223 of the Companies Act, 2017. The extension comes as a relief to the company, which now has additional time to convene its AGM and comply with statutory requirements.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), LSE Financial Services Limited is categorized under the financial services market. The extension granted to the company, however, comes with a cautionary note from the SECP. The regulatory body highlighted that such extensions are permissible only under exceptional circumstances, urging the company to adhere to statutory timelines in future periods.

The SECP’s advisory underscores the importance of timely compliance with legal mandates, ensuring transparency and accountability within the corporate governance framework. As LSE Financial Services Limited prepares for its upcoming AGM, the company is expected to align its operational strategies with the regulatory expectations set forth by the SECP.
