Unilever Pakistan Foods Credits Significant Interim Dividend to Shareholders

Karachi: Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited has credited an interim cash dividend of Rs. 466 per share, representing a significant move of 4660%, into the designated bank accounts of its shareholders. This action aligns with the company's announcement made during the Board of Directors meeting on October 23, 2025, for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025. The dividend was deposited on November 18, 2025.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company adhered to PSX Regulation 5.6.10, which mandates that the interim cash dividend be credited to shareholders within 10 working days after the closure of transfer books. This step is crucial for determining dividend entitlement as per the Companies (Distribution of Dividends) Regulations, 2017, in conjunction with Sections 242 and 243 of the Companies Act, 2017.

Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited promptly informed the exchange once the dividend was credited to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The company could face penalties under PSX Regulation 5.21.1 if it defaults on these obligations. However, any actions taken by PSX will not preclude additional measures by other authorities.
