Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) announced that it will temporarily suspend trading activities related to several Government of Pakistan Ijarah Sukuk (GIS) issues due to scheduled rental payments. The suspension will affect the Fixed Rental Rate (FRR) and Variable Rental Rate (VRR) GIS securities issued through the primary market auction on June 28, 2024. This temporary suspension is set to take place in December, ahead of the rental payment date on December 28, 2025.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the trading of the 3-Year Fixed Rental Rate Sukuk, with the security code P03FRR280627 and a maturity date of June 28, 2027, will be suspended from December 23, 2025, to December 26, 2025. Similarly, the Central Depository Company (CDC) will enforce a shut period for the related Sub Accounts and Investor Accounts from December 24, 2025, to December 26, 2025.

This temporary suspension is part of the routine process to facilitate the scheduled rental payments to all eligible investors. Market participants are advised to make note of these dates to ensure a smooth transition during the suspension period.
