Trading Suspension Continues for Three Companies Amid Regulatory Defaults

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) announced the ongoing suspension of trading for three companies due to unresolved regulatory issues, effective from December 23, 2025. The suspension, detailed in PSX Notice No.PSX/N-1127 dated October 23, 2025, affects M/s. Al-Mal Securities & Services Limited, M/s. First Investec Modaraba, and M/s. Usman Textile Mills Limited.

Each of these companies has failed to conduct annual general meetings and submit annual audited accounts, as required under PSX Regulations 5.11.1 and 5.11.2. Additionally, these entities have not paid their dues to the Exchange, have not inducted their ordinary shares into the Central Depository System (CDS), and face winding-up petitions filed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) in court.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the decision to continue the suspension is in accordance with Sub-Section (7) of Section 19 of the Securities Act, 2015, and clause 5.11 of the PSX Regulations. The trading of shares will remain suspended until the companies rectify the causes of suspension or until another 60-day period, starting December 23, 2025, elapses.

This decision underscores the stringent regulatory measures enforced by the PSX to ensure compliance with financial and operational standards. The designated market category remains vigilant in maintaining market integrity and protecting investor interests as these proceedings continue.
