Karachi: Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited (PSX) has introduced an updated Book Building System (BKBS), aimed at enhancing user experience and aligning with the recent regulatory changes. The launch, dated December 31, 2025, marks a significant step forward in the efficiency and transparency of the book building process for all stakeholders involved.
The revamped BKBS is designed to handle multiple book building processes simultaneously, ensuring that issuers and consultants can manage offerings more effectively. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the system features a user-friendly visual interface, improved speed, and reliability, promising a smoother process for all parties.
In accordance with the updated Public Offering Regulations, 2017, the concept of Eligible Participant has been introduced. This includes Securities Brokers, Mutual Funds, Scheduled Banks, and Development Finance Institutions that are Clearing Members of the National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL). Trading-Only Securities Brokers also qualify, provided that the Professional Clearing Member collects the margin money from bidders and deposits it with NCCPL.
To ensure a seamless transition to this upgraded system, PSX has scheduled a training and awareness session. This session is set to take place on Thursday, January 01, 2026, at 4:00 PM, on the 3rd Floor of the PSX Auditorium. Eligible Participants are urged to attend to familiarize themselves with the BKBS’s functionality, regulatory framework, and operational workflow.
