Karachi: Dewan Sugar Mills Limited (DSML) has announced its 44th Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for Monday, January 26, 2026. The meeting is set to commence at 12:00 noon at the Dewan Cement Limited Factory Site, located in Deh Dhando, Dhabeji, District Malir, Karachi.
The AGM will address several key agenda items, including the confirmation of the minutes from the previous AGM held on January 27, 2025. A significant point on the agenda is the election of seven directors to the company's Board of Directors, in accordance with Section 159 of the Companies Act, 2017. The retiring directors, whose positions will be contested, include Mr. Ishtiaq Ahmad, Mr. Abdul Basif, Syed Macibool Ali, Mr. Mehmood-ul-Hassan Asghar, Mr. Ghazanfar Bober Siddiqi, Mr. Aziz-ul-Haque, and Mrs. Nida Jamil.

The company has also outlined procedures for e-voting, which will be open from January 19, 2026, at 10 a.m. until January 25, 2026, at 5 p.m. Postal ballot voting provisions are in place, requiring submissions to reach the Chairman by January 25, 2026.

Physical shareholders are reminded to provide mandatory information to the company's share registrar to comply with Section 119 of the Companies Act, 2017, and Regulation 19 of the Companies (General Provisions and Forms) Regulations, 2018.
