Pakistan Moves Ijarah Sukuk Auction Date Forward by One Day

Karachi: The Government of Pakistan has announced a rescheduling of its Ijarah Sukuk (GIS) auction originally slated for March 26, 2026. The new date for the primary market auction is now set for March 25, 2026, with the settlement date remaining unchanged on March 26, 2026.

This change comes as per the directive from the Debt Management Office (DMO) of the Ministry of Finance (MoF), which communicated the update to all market participants. The announcement was initially made available through a notice distributed by the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), identified as PSX Notice# PSX/N-298, dated March 11, 2026.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the auction target size and all other pertinent details will remain constant despite the rescheduling. Participants in the market have been assured that additional auction notices and necessary details will be provided in advance of the new auction date.

The adjustment in the auction calendar reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to manage its debt instruments efficiently, though no further changes have been indicated at this time. Market participants are advised to stay informed through official PSX communications for any additional updates.
