Loss of Share Certificates Prompts Exchange Advisory

Karachi: An advisory has been issued by the relevant authorities concerning the loss or misplacement of share certificates for several companies, as noted in a formal announcement dated May 6, 2026. The advisory impacts a range of companies, including prominent names such as Javedan Corporation Limited, Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, and Habib Bank Limited, among others.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the affected companies have been urged to circulate this information among exchange members, advising them to refrain from transacting using the lost or misplaced certificates. The notice emphasizes that if no objections are raised within a seven-day window, duplicate certificates will be issued to the rightful shareholders.

This development places a temporary hold on transactions involving the listed firms’ shares, providing a window for objections or claims to be lodged. Companies such as National Refinery Limited, Roshan Packages Limited, and Hascol Petroleum Limited are also included in the advisory, reflecting a wide impact across various sectors within the designated market category. The involved entities are expected to ensure compliance with the exchange’s advisory to mitigate potential discrepancies in share dealings.
