Karachi: Sapphire Textile Mills Limited has announced the names of candidates for its upcoming board of directors election, scheduled to take place at an Extra Ordinary General Meeting on June 15, 2026. This development was reported in a notice published in the “Business Recorder” and “Nai Baat” newspapers on June 5, 2026.

The company has complied with Clause 5.6.9(b) of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Rule Book by submitting the notice of election to the Exchange. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), ten individuals have filed their intentions to contest for the position of director, including Mr. Mohammad Abdullah, Mr. Shahid Abdullah, Mr. Nadeem Abdullah, Mr. Amer Abdullah, Mr. Yousuf Abdullah, Mr. Nabeel Abdullah, Mr. Umer Abdullah, Mr. Mirza Saleem Baig, Mr. Shahid Shafiq, and Ms. Mashmooma Zehra Majeed.

Under Section 159(3) of the Companies Act, 2017, these candidates are set to be deemed elected as directors, as their number does not exceed the fixed number of directors outlined in Section 159(1) of the Act. The election will thus proceed without contest at the company’s forthcoming meeting.
