Karachi: Jubilee General Insurance Company Limited has announced the election of its new board of directors following an Extraordinary General Meeting held on June 29, 2026. The meeting took place at the company's headquarters on I.I. Chundrigar Road in Karachi and was also accessible via Zoom video link, providing shareholders with the flexibility to participate electronically.

The resolution passed by the shareholders confirmed the appointment of nine directors for a term of three years. The elected directors include Mr. Akbarali Pesnani, Mr. John Joseph Metcalf, Mr. Riyaz Ali Towfiq Chinoy, Mr. Abrar Ahmed Mir, Ms. Ava Ardeshir Cowasjee, Ms. Sima Kamil, Mr. Naveed Qazi, Ms. Zahra Anwar Furniturewalla, and Mr. Abid Akber Vazir.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the election of the board members was conducted in compliance with Regulation 5.6.9(b) of the PSX Rule Book. This ensures that the process adhered to the established guidelines for corporate governance within the market category of financial services.

The newly elected board is expected to lead the company through its strategic initiatives and governance responsibilities over the next three years, beginning on the date of the meeting.
