Karachi: In a decisive move aimed at boosting profitability, Idrees Textile Mills Limited secured shareholder approval for a series of strategic initiatives during its Extraordinary General Meeting (EOGM) held on June 27, 2026. The meeting, convened at the Liberty Ballroom on Tariq Road, Karachi, witnessed a comprehensive voting process that culminated in the passage of a special resolution by a significant majority.

The report, dated June 29, 2026, confirmed that the shareholders authorized key changes designed to enhance company profits. The approved resolution includes plans to replace certain machinery, facilitating a shift towards value-added products. Additionally, the strategy involves optimizing available surplus space by expanding into warehousing, logistics, and supply chain management services.

The voting process was conducted through physical attendance and e-voting, which took place from June 24 to June 26, 2026. According to the data, a total of 17,075,309 votes were cast, with an overwhelming 99.99988% in favor and a minuscule 0.00012% against the resolution. The e-voting accounted for 9,210 votes, all of which supported the resolution, while in-person voting resulted in 17,066,078 votes in favor and 21 against.
