Karachi: JS Bank Limited has announced a significant legal victory in the dismissal of Civil Appeal No. 376/2025, a case involving TRG Pakistan Limited, Jahangir Siddiqui & Co. Ltd., and other parties. This development was reported on July 6, 2026, as the bank informed its shareholders and the market of the favorable outcome.
The litigation, initiated by TRG Pakistan Limited against JS Bank Limited and others through Civil Suit No. 1696/2025, has seen a decisive turn. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the Honourable XIIth Additional District Judge / Model Civil Appellate Court, Karachi - South, issued a judgment on July 01, 2026, dismissing the appeal lodged by TRG Pakistan Limited.
The appellate court's decision upholds the original order dated December 02, 2025, which had rejected TRG Pakistan Limited's plaint under Order VII Rule 11 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908. This outcome confirms JS Bank Limited's stance that the claims made by TRG Pakistan Limited were without legal merit, frivolous, and filed in bad faith.
JS Bank Limited emphasized that the proceedings concluded with no adverse findings or instructions against the bank, its parent organization, or its leadership. The bank reiterated its commitment to transparency and assured stakeholders that it would continue to provide updates on matters impacting the bank's interests and reputation.
