Bank Alfalah Limited Declares 30% Cash Dividend Amidst Strong Financial Performance

Karachi: Bank Alfalah Limited has announced a 30% interim cash dividend for its shareholders for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, as disclosed in a report dated July 30, 2026. This decision was finalized during a board meeting held in Abu Dhabi and virtually via a Weblink. The latest dividend follows a previously declared interim dividend of identical value, bringing the total dividend payout to 60% for the first half of the year.

The financial results for the second quarter reveal a robust performance by the bank. Total assets increased from 3.83 trillion PKR at the end of December 2025 to 4.02 trillion PKR by June 30, 2026. This growth was largely driven by a rise in investments, which surged from 2.17 trillion PKR to 2.34 trillion PKR, along with an increase in advances from 1.10 trillion PKR to 1.11 trillion PKR.

The bank's liabilities also saw an uptick, climbing from 3.63 trillion PKR to 3.83 trillion PKR, primarily due to a rise in borrowings, which now stand at 841.00 billion PKR. Deposits and other accounts increased significantly by 162.67 billion PKR, reaching 2.66 trillion PKR.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Bank Alfalah Limited recorded a net profit after taxation of 10.20 billion PKR for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared to 8.23 billion PKR in the same quarter of 2025, marking a very large or significant move. For the half-year period, the profit after tax stood at 21.33 billion PKR, up from 15.27 billion PKR in the first half of 2025.

The bank's total income for the quarter was 52.77 billion PKR, up from 49.34 billion PKR in the same period last year, while total non-mark-up interest income increased to 16.47 billion PKR from 15.04 billion PKR.

The Share Transfer Books of the bank will be closed from August 13 to August 16, 2026, to process the interim cash dividend. Shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members by the close of business on August 12, 2026, will be eligible for the dividend.
