Expenses for the year also saw a significant increase, totaling 2,017,000 rupees, up from 1,314,000 rupees last year. This was primarily due to higher remuneration costs for both the Management Company and the Trustee, as well as increased central depository charges. Despite these higher expenses, the net operating income was reported at 59,207,000 rupees, reflecting a big move from the prior year's 42,302,000 rupees.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), NITL's net income before taxation stood at 76,776,000 rupees, a substantial increase from 45,132,000 rupees in the previous year. This improvement was further bolstered by the element of gain and capital gains included in unit prices, which grew to 17,569,000 rupees from 2,830,000 rupees.
The accounting income available for distribution relating to capital gains rose to 49,190,000 rupees, while income excluding capital gains was reported at 27,586,000 rupees. These figures highlight a significant enhancement in NITL's financial performance, underscoring its strong position in the designated market category.
The results reflect NITL's effective strategies in navigating the investment landscape and its commitment to delivering improved returns for its stakeholders, as evidenced by the growth in both capital and non-capital related income.
