This status was granted under Regulation 8AA.2.2 of the Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited Regulations, which pertains to the rights issue offered to holders of existing securities, specifically ordinary shares of the company. The formal declaration follows the compliance of S. G. Power Limited with the necessary procedures set forth by the CDC.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this move by the CDC will allow the rights entitlements of the company to be treated as eligible securities within the CDS framework.
