Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced the continuation of trading suspension for Al-Mal Securities & Services Limited, First Investec Modaraba, and Usman Textile Mills Limited due to unresolved regulatory issues. This decision follows an earlier notice dated June 19, 2026, and will extend for another 60 days starting August 20, 2026, if the companies do not address the specified concerns.
The companies have been cited for failing to conduct Annual General Meetings, not submitting annual audited accounts, non-payment of dues to the Exchange, and not inducting ordinary shares into the Central Depository System (CDS). Additionally, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has filed winding-up petitions against these entities.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the suspension is enforced under Sub-Section (7) of Section 19 of the Securities Act, 2015, and clause 5.11 of the PSX Regulations. This regulatory action underscores the stringent compliance requirements imposed on listed companies to maintain transparency and accountability.
The market participants are advised to take note of this suspension in the designated market category and adjust their investment strategies accordingly. The PSX remains vigilant in enforcing its regulations to ensure the integrity of the stock exchange operations.
