Al Meezan Investment Management Limited Reports Financial Results for Year Ending June 2026

Karachi: Al Meezan Investment Management Limited has announced its financial results for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. The announcement was made following a Board meeting held on August 18, 2026. The results encompass various funds under the company's management, reflecting the company's financial performance and strategic decisions over the past year.

Among the funds managed by Al Meezan, the Meezan Islamic Income Fund reported a final distribution of NIL. Meanwhile, the Meezan Rozana Amdani Fund and the Meezan Daily Income Fund continued their practice of daily distribution throughout the year, aligning with the provisions outlined in their respective Offering documents. Additionally, the Meezan Cash Fund's interim distribution details were noted in an attached annexure.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the total income for the year reached 17.28 billion rupees, a slight increase from the previous year's 16.89 billion rupees. The net realized gain on the sale of investments amounted to 4.27 billion rupees, while the net unrealized appreciation on investments was 10.23 billion rupees. These figures underscore the company's effective investment strategies and market positioning.

On the expense side, the remuneration for Al Meezan Investment Management Limited, serving as the Management Company, was recorded at 1.83 billion rupees, a notable increase from the prior year's 825.48 million rupees. Total expenses for the year were reported at 2.54 billion rupees, marking a significant rise compared to 1.47 billion rupees in the previous year. This increase in expenses was influenced by higher management remuneration and statutory levies.

Net income before taxation was reported at 14.74 billion rupees, a decrease from the previous year's 15.42 billion rupees. After accounting for income already paid on redeemed units, the net income for the year stood at 9.49 billion rupees, compared to 11.25 billion rupees in the prior year. This reduction reflects market dynamics and distribution decisions impacting the bottom line.
