First Paramount Modaraba Initiates Rights Issue with CDS Credits and Dispatch of Letters

Karachi: First Paramount Modaraba has announced the dispatch of Letter of Rights, CDC Intimation Letters, and Offer Documents to its certificate holders as part of its ongoing rights issue. These were sent out on August 20, 2026. The company informed its stakeholders about the developments through a notice published in both English and Urdu newspapers on the same date.

The unpaid Rights have been credited into the respective CDS Accounts of certificate holders on August 18, 2026, following the ratio of one Right Certificate for every two ordinary certificates registered in their names as of the close of business on August 13, 2026. The subscription of the right offer commenced on August 19, 2026, which also marked the beginning of trading of unpaid Rights on the Pakistan Stock Exchange. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the trading of unpaid rights will continue until September 2, 2026, and the last date for subscription is set for September 9, 2026. The right securities are scheduled to be credited into CDS on September 23, 2026.

First Paramount Modaraba has outlined a clear payment procedure for certificate holders wishing to subscribe. Payments for the Right Subscription Request can be made via cash, crossed cheque, demand draft, or pay order, directed to "FIRST PARAMOUNT MODARABA - RIGHT CERTIFICATES SUBSCRIPTION" at any Meezan Bank branch. This must be accompanied by a duly filled and signed subscription request form, submitted by September 9, 2026. Non-resident Pakistani or foreign certificate holders are advised to send a demand draft of the equivalent amount in Pak Rupees to the company’s registered office in Karachi.

For convenience, an online payment option through 1Link is available for Investor Account Holders and Sub Account Holders. This allows for payments via internet banking, ATMs, and mobile banking services of 1Link's member banks using a 1Bill Payment ID.

Additionally, the company has detailed the process for exercising the right offer in CDS, and for depositing physical Letters of Rights into CDS. These steps ensure that certificate holders can manage their rights efficiently.

Certificate holders who require further clarification or have not received their intimation letters or Letters of Right are encouraged to contact the Modaraba's Share Registrar, THK Associates (Private) Limited, at their Karachi office.
