Karachi: Jubilee General Insurance Company Limited announced its financial results for the second quarter and half-year ended June 30, 2026, following a board meeting held on August 20, 2026, at Jubilee Insurance House and via Zoom. The company reported a decline in equity and an increase in liabilities, with no interim cash dividend or bonus shares declared.
According to the financial statements, the company's total assets rose to 69.49 billion rupees by the end of June 2026, up from 65.38 billion rupees in December 2025. The company's equity decreased to 21.53 billion rupees from 22.27 billion rupees at the end of the previous year. Meanwhile, total liabilities increased to 47.96 billion rupees from 43.11 billion rupees, indicating a significant move in the company's financial obligations.
Jubilee General Insurance reported a net insurance premium of 2.60 billion rupees for the three months ended June 30, 2026, compared to 2.18 billion rupees during the same period in 2025. For the six-month period, net insurance premium stood at 4.93 billion rupees, up from 4.16 billion rupees in the previous year. Net insurance claims amounted to 1.53 billion rupees for the quarter and 2.78 billion rupees for the half-year, reflecting ongoing challenges in managing claims expenses.
Management expenses reached 707.83 million rupees for the quarter and 1.42 billion rupees for the half-year. Despite these expenses, the company achieved underwriting results of 208.93 million rupees for the quarter, an increase from 128.75 million rupees in the same quarter of the previous year.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Jubilee General Insurance's net investment income for the quarter stood at 1.35 billion rupees, down from 1.65 billion rupees in the corresponding quarter of 2025. Meanwhile, for the six-month period, net investment income rose to 3.67 billion rupees from 3.37 billion rupees.
The profit before tax for the quarter was 1.68 billion rupees, compared to 1.90 billion rupees in the same period last year. For the half-year, profit before tax increased to 4.26 billion rupees from 3.96 billion rupees. The company's profit after tax for the quarter was 1.02 billion rupees, down from 1.22 billion rupees in the previous year. The half-year profit after tax rose to 2.63 billion rupees from 2.39 billion rupees.
Earnings per share for the quarter were reported at 5.12 rupees, a decrease from 6.13 rupees in the same period of the previous year. For the six-month period, earnings per share increased to 13.27 rupees from 12.06 rupees in the previous year.
