Power Cement Limited Reports Significant Profit Increase Amidst Static Dividend Outcome

Karachi: Power Cement Limited has announced its financial results for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, revealing a notable increase in profits despite maintaining a static dividend outcome. The company reported this information following its Board of Directors meeting on August 28, 2026.

For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, Power Cement's total assets stood at 47.40 billion rupees, a slight decrease from the previous year's 47.68 billion rupees. The company's total equity increased to 24.01 billion rupees from 23.53 billion rupees in 2025, reflecting improved financial health.

The company's revenue from contracts with customers rose to 33.98 billion rupees from 29.52 billion rupees in 2025. This increase in revenue resulted in a gross profit of 12.09 billion rupees, compared to 8.40 billion rupees the previous year. Profit from operations significantly improved to 7.43 billion rupees from 4.62 billion rupees in 2025, contributing to a profit before taxation of 5.60 billion rupees, a very large increase from 1.57 billion rupees in the prior year.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Power Cement's profit after taxation surged to 3.78 billion rupees from 814.99 million rupees in 2025, marking a very large increase. This resulted in basic earnings per share rising to 2.86 rupees from 0.44 rupees.

Despite these financial gains, the Board of Directors decided against declaring any cash dividend, bonus shares, or right shares for the fiscal year. The company also reported no other entitlements or price-sensitive information.

The Annual General Meeting for Power Cement Limited has been scheduled for October 20, 2026, at the PSX Auditorium in Karachi, with options for virtual participation. The share transfer books will remain closed from October 13 to October 20, 2026.
