Ltd. reported multiple cases of lost share certificates involving companies such as Descon Oxychem Limited, Highnoon Laboratories Limited, The Bank of Punjab, and Pioneer Cement Limited. The reports detail the need for indemnity from legal heirs or shareholders themselves to facilitate the issuance of duplicate certificates if no claims are made within seven days of the PSX circular.
The first notification concerns Descon Oxychem Limited, where the legal heir of the late Muhammad Akbar Awan has filed for indemnity due to the loss of share certificates. The reported holding amounts to 1,200 shares under Folio #209.
In another instance, the legal heir of Mazhar Hussain, associated with Highnoon Laboratories Limited, has reported the loss of multiple certificates with a combined holding of 1,074 shares under Folio #4899.
The Bank of Punjab has been similarly affected, with shareholder Mr. Atif Islam reporting a total of 1,004 shares lost across various certificate numbers under Folio #9410.
Additionally, Pioneer Cement Limited has recorded a loss of certificates by K. A. Abbasi, detailing a total holding of 1,176 shares under Folio #2452.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the exchange has advised that duplicate share certificates will be issued if no claims are received within the stipulated period.
