Sapphire Fibres Limited Considers Participation in IESCO Privatisation

Karachi: Sapphire Fibres Limited has announced its intent to partake in the privatisation of the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO), according to a disclosure report dated September 18, 2026. This potential involvement in the transaction is contingent upon pre-qualification and necessary approvals from relevant corporate and regulatory bodies.

The Board of Directors of Sapphire Fibres Limited has given its approval for the company's participation in the transaction, although it has not yet assumed any binding obligations. The company is considering forming a consortium once the required approvals are granted.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this development will be communicated to certificate holders as part of the company's commitment to keeping the Exchange informed of any material changes.
