Lahore: D.G. Khan Cement Company Limited has announced a strategic agreement aimed at enhancing its energy efficiency through renewable sources. According to a report dated September 23, 2026, the company has entered into a partnership with EBR Energy Pakistan (Pvt.) Limited, Sungrow Power Supply Co. Ltd., China, and Pragmatic Engineering Solutions FZE. This collaboration involves the supply and erection of a 25MW photovoltaic (PV) solar power plant and a 10MWH Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the company's cement plant located in Mauza Khofli Sattai, Dera Ghazi Khan.

The project, which is expected to commence power generation by March 2027, marks a significant step in D.G. Khan Cement's efforts to integrate sustainable energy solutions into its operations. The initiative is part of the company's compliance with the Rule Book of Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited and the provisions of the Securities Act, 2015.
