At-Tahur Limited Reports Significant Annual Profit Increase Amid Cash Flow Challenges

Lahore: At-Tahur Limited, a company listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, has reported a notable increase in its profit after taxation for the year ended June 30, 2026. According to the company's financial statements released on September 29, 2026, the profit after taxation rose to 821.42 million rupees from 528.15 million rupees in the previous year, marking a very large or significant move.

The company's total comprehensive income also saw a marked improvement, reaching 830.87 million rupees, up from 526.16 million rupees the previous year. This increase was bolstered by other comprehensive income, primarily driven by a remeasurement of the defined benefit plan, net of tax, amounting to 9.45 million rupees, contrasting with a loss of 1.99 million rupees in the prior year.

However, At-Tahur's cash flow statement reveals challenges, with the company experiencing a net cash outflow from operating activities amounting to 692.54 million rupees, a significant increase from 460.06 million rupees used in the previous year. This was largely due to increased finance costs and payments related to workers' funds and income taxes.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company's investing activities resulted in a net cash inflow of 192.01 million rupees, compared to a net cash outflow of 384.15 million rupees the prior year. This turnaround was largely due to proceeds from the sale of short-term investments amounting to 2.95 billion rupees.

In financing activities, At-Tahur reported a net cash inflow of 727.46 million rupees, slightly down from 772.88 million rupees in the previous year. This was driven by new long-term financing obtained and capital contributions received, partially offset by repayments of lease liabilities and deferred payment obligations.

As a result of these activities, the company reported a net increase in cash and cash equivalents of 226.93 million rupees, bringing the total cash and cash equivalents at the end of the year to 392.13 million rupees, up from 165.20 million rupees at the beginning of the year.
