NBP Financial Sector Income Plus Fund Reports Strong Earnings for Q2 2026

Karachi: NBP Fund Management Limited has released its annual report for the NBP Financial Sector Income Plus Fund, detailing the financial performance for the period ending June 30, 2026. The report, dated October 1, 2026, reveals that the fund demonstrated robust earnings during the second quarter of 2026.

The fund generated a total income of 917.04 million rupees, driven by significant returns from various financial instruments. A substantial portion of this income was derived from profit on bank balances, which contributed 853.70 million rupees. Additional income streams included 41.10 million rupees from term deposit receipts and 22.24 million rupees from letters of placement.

Expenses for the period amounted to 74.21 million rupees. Key expenses included a remuneration of 53.21 million rupees to the NBP Fund Management Limited, along with a Sindh Sales Tax of 7.98 million rupees on this remuneration. The Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited, acting as Trustee, received a remuneration of 5.70 million rupees, with an additional Sindh Sales Tax of 0.85 million rupees. Other expenses included fees to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan and various operational costs.

These financial activities resulted in a net income from operating activities of 842.83 million rupees. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the net income for the period before and after taxation remained consistent at 842.83 million rupees, indicating no taxation impact.

The allocation of net income for the period after taxation was calculated at 842.83 million rupees, with 732.16 million rupees already paid on units redeemed. This left an accounting income available for distribution, excluding capital gains, at 110.67 million rupees.
