NBP Islamic Government Securities Fund Reports Annual Net Income of 151.35 Million Rupees

Karachi: NBP Fund Management Limited has released the annual financial results for its NBP Islamic Government Securities Fund, revealing a net income of 151.35 million rupees for the year ending June 30, 2026. The report, dated October 1, 2026, provides a detailed account of the fund's financial performance over the past year.

According to the income statement, the fund generated a total income of 182.37 million rupees. This income was primarily derived from Government of Pakistan (GoP) ijarah sukuks certificates, contributing 163.32 million rupees, and profits on bank balances amounting to 36.19 million rupees. The fund also reported a net realized loss of 1.13 million rupees from the sale of investments and a net unrealized loss of 16.00 million rupees from re-measurement of investments at fair value.

The total expenses for the year were reported at 31.02 million rupees. Key expenses included the remuneration of the management company, NBP Fund Management Limited, which amounted to 22.80 million rupees, and the Sindh sales tax on this remuneration, which was 3.42 million rupees. Additional expenses included a 1.06 million rupee remuneration for the Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited, alongside associated Sindh sales tax payments, regulatory fees, and professional charges.

Net income for the year before taxation stood at 151.35 million rupees. The fund did not incur any taxation, resulting in the same figure being reported as net income after taxation. The earnings per unit were noted at 4.13 rupees.

The fund allocated its net profit for the year after accounting for 110.36 million rupees in income already paid on redeemed units, resulting in a distribution of 40.99 million rupees. All the accounting income available for distribution was attributed to earnings excluding capital gains.
