NBP Mahana Amdani Fund Reports Substantial Net Income Growth in 2026

Karachi: NBP Fund Management Limited has reported its financial results for the year ended June 30, 2026, revealing a significant increase in net income. The NBP Mahana Amdani Fund's annual report, dated October 1, 2026, highlights the fund's financial performance over the past year.

According to the report, the total income for the year amounted to 3.65 billion rupees, with the majority of income derived from profits on bank balances, which contributed 2.32 billion rupees. Other notable sources of income included government securities, term deposit receipts, letters of placement, and the Margin Trading System, which collectively added up to 1.33 billion rupees.

The income statement also details a net unrealized diminution on re-measurement of investments classified as financial assets 'at fair value through profit or loss' of 206,000 rupees, resulting in a minor net loss from investment activities. Consequently, the total income stood at 3.65 billion rupees.

On the expenses front, the fund reported total expenses of 357.73 million rupees. The primary expenses included the remuneration of NBP Fund Management Limited as the management company, amounting to 235.06 million rupees, accompanied by Sindh Sales Tax on the remuneration amounting to 35.26 million rupees. Other expenses involved trustee remuneration, annual fees, settlement and bank charges, and auditors' remuneration.

The net income before taxation was reported at 3.29 billion rupees. With no taxation applicable, the net income after taxation remained at 3.29 billion rupees. Earnings per unit were calculated to be 4.13 rupees.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this net income reflects a robust financial performance for the NBP Mahana Amdani Fund in the designated market category of mutual funds. The fund's income allocation for the year, excluding capital gains, amounted to 271.89 million rupees, following deductions for income already paid on units redeemed, which totaled 3.02 billion rupees.
