Karachi: EFU Life Assurance Limited has announced a rights issue of 42.86% at PKR 10 per share for its ordinary shareholders, according to a report dated October 1, 2026. The company has committed to adhering to the Central Depository Company (CDC) and Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) procedures regarding the issuance and deposit of these rights.
The CDC has introduced an online payment facility through ILink for Investor Account Holders and Sub-Account Holders, allowing them to pay for the subscribed rights online. Payments can be made via internet banking, Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), and mobile banking through ILink’s member banks. Investors can also pay for the unpaid rights via cash, crossed cheque, demand draft, or pay order to the credit of "EFU Life Assurance Limited- Right Shares Subscription Account" at all JS Bank Limited branches across Pakistan.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), shareholders holding EFU Life Assurance shares in physical form have the option to renounce their Letters of Rights by depositing them into their own CDS investor or sub-account or to a person who is an investor or sub-account holder with CDC. Physical shareholders can also obtain credit for the right shares in book-entry form by providing their CDS investor or sub-account details.
The company has requested approval for the letter of intimation, Letter of Right to Physical Shareholders, information as per Schedule I to the Companies (Further Issues of Shares) Regulations, 2020, and tentative schedule of the right issue and Right Subscription Request previously submitted.
