Suraj Cotton Mills Limited Reports Significant Financial Growth Amid Macroeconomic Stability

Lahore: Suraj Cotton Mills Limited has reported a significant financial growth for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, as outlined in its annual report released on October 1, 2026. The company's performance was bolstered by a stabilized macroeconomic environment in Pakistan, marked by the continuation of the IMF program, moderated inflation, and improved foreign reserves.

For the year under review, Suraj Cotton Mills Limited achieved a net revenue of Rs. 28.65 billion, marking a 4.52% increase over the previous fiscal year. The company's gross profit saw a very large move, rising by 22.96% to Rs. 2.812 billion. In addition to this, the operating profit increased by a big move of 15.52% to Rs. 2.542 billion, supported by strategic management of raw material procurement and reduced energy costs.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Suraj Cotton Mills Limited's profit after taxation surged by 61.00%, representing a very large move, reaching Rs. 1.801 billion. This was accompanied by an enhancement in earnings per share, which increased to Rs. 36.90 from Rs. 22.92 in the previous year.

The financial cost of the company saw a significant decline of 33.55%, reducing to Rs. 126 million, attributed to easing interest rates and lower average borrowings. Additionally, the board has proposed a final cash dividend of Rs. 10 per share, pending shareholder approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting on October 22, 2026.

The company's operations are divided into spinning and weaving segments, which are integrated to ensure efficient production and consistent quality. The spinning segment produces high-quality cotton yarn, while the weaving segment manufactures greige fabric for both local and export markets.
