Karachi: Century Insurance Company Limited has announced the closure of its Share Transfer Books for one day on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, as part of its right shares issuance process. This decision follows the company's prior announcement on September 11, 2026, regarding the issuance of right shares.
The company has specified that shares transferred to the Share Registrar, M/s FAMCO Share Registration Services (Private) Limited, located at Shahra-e-Faisal, Karachi, by the close of business on Monday, October 12, 2026, will be eligible for the determination of entitlement. The right shares are being offered at their face value of Rs. 10.00 per share, with an entitlement ratio of approximately 81 shares for every 100 shares currently held by shareholders.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the right shares' entitlement ratio translates to an 81% increase in the shareholders' investment, a very large or significant move. The company's decision to close its books for a day is aimed at ensuring an accurate assessment of eligible shareholders for this right issue.
This development is expected to impact the designated market category of insurance services as Century Insurance Company Limited proceeds with its capital raising initiative through the issuance of additional shares.
