International Industries Reports Financial Recovery with Surge in Domestic Steel Revenue

Karachi: International Industries, a prominent player in the steel and polymer sectors, presented its financial performance during a corporate briefing session held on October 7, 2026. The company's latest financial results indicate a notable recovery driven by significant growth in the domestic steel segment.

The financial report, released on October 6, 2026, outlines the fiscal year 2026 (FY26) performance. Notably, the total volume of sales increased to 111,000 metric tonnes, with total revenue reaching PKR 29,073 million. This marks a significant revenue increase compared to the previous fiscal year. The gross profit margin also saw an improvement, rising to 13.9%.

A major highlight of the financial briefing was the performance of the domestic steel segment. According to the report, revenue from domestic steel sales increased by 36.7% year-over-year, from PKR 16,460 million in FY25 to PKR 22,496 million in FY26. This growth underscores a robust demand recovery within the domestic market.

In contrast, the domestic polymers segment experienced a decline in revenue, falling to PKR 3,540 million in FY26, attributed to reduced institutional volume. However, the company remains optimistic about expanding its market share, anticipating new opportunities from public sector projects and infrastructure development.

Global sales contributed PKR 3,037 million, accounting for 10.4% of the total revenue mix. The revenue from global sales saw a marginal decline, with the company continuing to focus on enhancing its international market presence.

The profit after tax for FY26 was recorded at PKR 1,603 million, an improvement from the previous fiscal year, indicating a moderate move of 1.5% in profitability. This recovery in profit is attributed to strategic efforts to optimize operations and increase efficiencies.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), International Industries continues to hold a strong market position, demonstrating resilience in a competitive industry landscape. The company's focus on innovation and market expansion remains central to its growth strategy.

The revenue mix for FY26 showed a balanced distribution, with domestic steel and polymer segments contributing significantly to the company's overall performance. As International Industries looks ahead, it remains committed to leveraging market opportunities and enhancing its production capabilities to sustain growth.
