EFU Life Assurance Initiates Credit of Unpaid Right Shares into CDS

Karachi: EFU Life Assurance Limited has announced the successful credit of 45,000,000 unpaid right shares into the Central Depository System (CDS) accounts of its shareholders. This move, executed on October 5, 2026, marks the commencement of a critical phase in the company's right issue, as detailed in a recent report from the company.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the right shares, priced at PKR 10 each, have been allocated in a ratio of 42.86 right shares for every 100 ordinary shares held, translating to approximately 42.86%. Shareholders whose names were recorded on the company's register as of the close of business on October 1, 2026, are eligible for these rights.

The trading of these unpaid rights on the PSX began on October 6, 2026. Shareholders holding physical shares will receive their Letters of Right on October 7, 2026, with the option to request the splitting and deposit into CDS until October 9, 2026. The trading of these rights will continue until October 20, 2026, while the deadline for acceptance and payment for both CDS and physical right shares is set for October 27, 2026.

For payment, shareholders with CDS accounts are required to acquire their Right Subscription Form from their broker or CDC Investor Account Services. Physical shareholders must submit the Letter of Rights with a completed Form "A" at any JS Bank Limited branch across Pakistan. Payments can be made via cash, crossed cheque, demand draft, or pay order to "EFU Life Assurance Limited - Right Subscription Account". Any payment not received by October 27, 2026, will result in the decline of the offer.

The allotted shares will be credited into CDS accounts, and physical share certificates will be dispatched on November 11, 2026. The share registrar for this issue is CDC Share Registrar Services Limited, based in Karachi. This comprehensive schedule and payment procedure underscore EFU Life Assurance's commitment to facilitating a seamless right issue process for its shareholders.
