Karachi: Sui Southern Gas Company Limited has been granted an extension by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) for holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the financial year ended June 30, 2026. According to the SECP's letter, the company now has until November 27, 2026, to convene the AGM and present its annual audited financial statements for shareholder consideration.

The application for this extension was submitted by Sui Southern Gas Company Limited on September 30, 2026, under section 132 read with section 223 of the Companies Act, 2017. The SECP, in its communication to the company, referenced letters No. SSGC/CFO/SECP/144/2026 and SSGC/CFO/SECP/145/2026, highlighting the necessity for the company to comply with statutory requirements.

In addition to the AGM extension, the SECP has also extended the deadline for the submission of the company's first quarterly financial statements for the period ending September 30, 2026. The revised deadline for this submission is now November 29, 2026. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these extensions are vital for maintaining compliance with the Companies Act, 2017.
