Karachi: JS Global Capital Limited, a key player in the banking sector exchange traded funds, released its financial results for the nine-month period ending September 30, 2026. The report, dated October 19, 2026, reveals a notable decline in net profit, contrasting sharply with the previous year’s performance.
The company's total assets saw an increase from 273.53 million rupees at the end of 2025 to 361.90 million rupees as of September 30, 2026. This growth was primarily driven by a rise in investments, which surged to 348.67 million rupees from 263.23 million rupees. However, the liabilities decreased from 4.22 million rupees in December 2025 to 3.60 million rupees, contributing to a net asset value of 358.30 million rupees, up from 269.31 million rupees.
Despite the overall growth in assets, the net assets value per unit experienced a significant move, declining from 45.1111 rupees to 39.0731 rupees by the end of September 2026. Additionally, the number of units in issue expanded from 5,970,000 to 9,170,000.
A stark contrast emerged in the profit and loss statement. The company reported a net loss of 13.79 million rupees for the period, a reversal from the 112.46 million rupees profit recorded in the same period last year. This downturn was influenced by a net unrealized loss of 51.69 million rupees on investments classified as "fair value through profit or loss," compared to a gain of 64.72 million rupees in the prior year.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company’s income from dividends rose to 24.75 million rupees from 10.71 million rupees, and profit on bank deposits more than doubled to 1.11 million rupees. Nonetheless, these gains were overshadowed by the aforementioned unrealized losses and a decline in capital gains, which fell from 92.62 million rupees to a negative figure of 27.24 million rupees.
Operating expenses increased to 3.63 million rupees from 2.11 million rupees. Notable expenses included management company remuneration, trustee fees, and regulatory charges. The report did not indicate any taxation for the period.
The financial results underscore the challenges faced by JS Global Capital Limited amidst market volatility, highlighting the significant impact of investment revaluation on the company's overall financial health.
