Karachi: Members of the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) convened for their 48th Annual General Meeting on October 28, 2026, approving several key resolutions that shape the corporation’s financial and operational trajectory.
During the meeting, the minutes from the previous annual gathering, held on October 28, 2025, were officially approved. This step reaffirmed the decisions and discussions from the past year, paving the way for current and future resolutions.
The corporation's financial health was a focal point, as members approved and adopted the annual audited financial statements for the year ending June 30, 2026. These statements included both the corporation's individual and consolidated financial details, alongside reports from auditors and directors.
Significantly, a resolution was passed approving a final cash dividend of Rs. 10 per share, equating to a 100% payout. This is in addition to an interim dividend of Rs. 10 per share previously distributed to shareholders listed in the register by the close of business on October 21, 2026.
In a move to bolster its financial oversight, the PNSC reappointed M/s. Yousuf Adil Chartered Accountants and appointed BDO Ebrahim & Company Chartered Accountants as joint statutory auditors for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027. This decision came with a 5% increase in the auditors' remuneration, aligning with the Board of Directors' recommendations.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these resolutions and financial disclosures align with the corporation's designated market category, underscoring its strategic financial management and shareholder commitments.
