Karachi, Abbott Laboratories (Pakistan) Limited has announced that its 75th Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be convened on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. The meeting is scheduled to take place at the ICAP Auditorium, Chartered Accountants Avenue, Clifton, Karachi and will also be accessible virtually via a video-link facility. This gathering is aimed at discussing significant company matters including the review and adoption of the Audited Financial Statements for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2023, alongside the Directors', Auditors', and Chairman's reports.

A key agenda item includes the reappointment of the company's auditors, M/s EY Ford Rhodes, Chartered Accountants, for the upcoming fiscal period until the next AGM, with the directors being authorized to set their remuneration. This reappointment comes as the current auditors have declared their eligibility and willingness to continue in their role.

Moreover, the AGM will address special business concerning the circulation of Annual Audited Financial Statements to the company's members. In alignment with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan's (SECP) directive, S.R.O 389(1)/2023 dated March 21, 2023, it is proposed to distribute these documents through QR enabled code and weblink, moving away from the traditional CD/DVD/USB formats. The resolution, if passed, will empower the Company Secretary to undertake necessary actions to implement this digital transition effectively.
