Lahore: Pakistan Engineering Company Ltd. (PECO) has announced the appointment of Mr. Abdul Shabbir Khan Khattak as its new Managing Director. This decision, facilitated by the Ministry of Industries and Production, was confirmed during the 228th Board of Directors meeting held on November 22, 2025. The appointment aligns with section 188 of the Companies Act, 2017, as well as the Listed Companies (Code of Corporate Governance) Regulations, 2019.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the announcement comes as part of a broader strategic alignment within the company. Mr. Khattak, who previously served as Joint Secretary (A&F) in the Industries and Production Division, will assume his new role immediately, as per the office order issued by the State Engineering Corporation’s Board resolution No. SEC/BM/RS/2024.
The company advises all Trading Right Entitlement Certificate (TREC) holders of the exchange to take note of this leadership change. Mr. Khattak’s appointment is expected to steer the company through its forthcoming projects and initiatives.
