Adam Securities Limited Appointed as Market Maker for JS Momentum Factor ETF

Karachi: Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited has announced the appointment of Adam Securities Limited as the Designated Market Maker for the JS Momentum Factor Exchange Traded Fund, according to a statement released on July 21, 2025. This appointment is part of the Exchange’s ongoing efforts to ensure efficient market operations in line with the Market Makers Regulations.

The new market-making agreement was formalized through an addendum between the Pakistan Stock Exchange and Adam Securities Limited. Under this agreement, Adam Securities will assume market-making responsibilities for several ETFs, including the UBL Pakistan Enterprise Exchange Traded Fund, the Meezan Pakistan Exchange Traded Fund, the Mahaana Islamic Index Exchange Traded Fund, and the JS Momentum Factor Exchange Traded Fund.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the appointment of Adam Securities Limited is expected to enhance liquidity and trading efficiency for these ETFs. This move is part of a broader strategy to bolster investor confidence and facilitate smoother transactions within the market.

The role of the Designated Market Maker is crucial for maintaining orderly trading and providing continuous bid and offer quotes, which contributes to price stability and narrows the bid-ask spread. The involvement of Adam Securities Limited, a prominent entity in the securities market, is anticipated to bring added depth and resilience to the trading of these financial instruments.

Market participants have shown interest in the potential impact of this development on the trading volumes and overall dynamics of the ETFs involved. The PSX remains committed to fostering a robust trading environment and supporting the growth of exchange-traded products within the region.
