Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced a revised trading and settlement schedule for deliverable future contracts of Adamjee Insurance Company Limited and Faysal Bank Limited. This change follows the announcement of book closure dates for these companies.
The adjustments apply to the September 2025 and October 2025 contracts. The revised schedule for trading and settlement on a cum-benefit basis will commence with the opening of the September contract on June 30, 2025, a Monday, with closure on September 2, 2025, a Tuesday, and settlement on September 4, 2025, a Thursday. The October contract will open on July 28, 2025, also a Monday, close on September 2, 2025, and settle on September 4, 2025.
Conversely, the trading and settlement schedule without the entitlement of benefit will start with the opening of contracts on August 29, 2025, a Friday. The September B contract will close on September 26, 2025, a Friday, with settlement on September 30, 2025, a Tuesday. The October B contract will close on October 31, 2025, a Friday, with settlement on November 4, 2025, a Tuesday.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), trades occurring during the overlapping period from August 29, 2025, to September 2, 2025, will not be eligible for benefits and will be conducted on an ex-benefit basis. PSX retains the authority to modify these dates or adjust the contracts if necessary.
The designated market category for these securities remains unchanged. The new schedule aims to provide market participants with clarity and ensure smooth operations during the transition period.
