Islamabad: The Annual General Meeting of Adamjee Life Assurance Company Limited, held on April 27, 2026, at the ICAP Auditorium in Islamabad, concluded with the approval of several resolutions crucial for the company’s operations.
During the meeting, the minutes from the 16th Annual General Meeting, held on April 28, 2025, were confirmed. The assembly also adopted the audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2025, along with the accompanying Directors’ and Auditors’ reports and the Chairman’s Review Report.
A significant decision from the meeting was the appointment of M/s Riaz Ahmed & Co. Chartered Accountants as the external auditors. Their term will last from the conclusion of the current AGM until the next one scheduled for 2027. The remuneration for the auditors will be decided by the Board of Directors in agreement with the statutory auditors, in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Companies Act, 2017, and the Listed Companies (Code of Corporate Governance) Regulations, 2019.
Furthermore, the company approved the payment of a final cash dividend of Rs. 1.50 per share, representing 15% for the year ended December 31, 2025. This dividend is in addition to the 10% interim cash dividend of Rs. 1.00 per share already disbursed. The dividends are payable to shareholders registered by the close of business on April 20, 2026.
