Adamjee Life Assurance Approves Financial Statements and Election of Directors

Islamabad: Adamjee Life Assurance Company Limited convened its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on April 28, 2025, at the ISE Auditorium in Islamabad, where shareholders passed several resolutions concerning the company's financial and administrative operations.

The meeting confirmed the minutes from the previous AGM held on April 25, 2024. Shareholders adopted the audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2024, along with the accompanying Directors' and Auditors' reports and the Chairman's Review Report.

In compliance with the Companies Act, 2017, and relevant corporate governance regulations, M/s Riaz Ahmad & Co. Chartered Accountants were appointed as the external auditors. Their tenure will last until the conclusion of the next AGM in 2026, with their remuneration to be negotiated with the Board of Directors.

A resolution was approved for the distribution of a final cash dividend of Rs. 1 per share, equivalent to 10%, for the year ending December 31, 2024. This is in addition to the interim cash dividend of Rs. 1 per share already dispensed. The dividends are payable to shareholders recorded at the close of business on April 21, 2025.

The AGM also saw the election of seven individuals to the board of directors for a three-year term commencing April 28, 2025. The elected directors include Mr. S. M. Jawed, Mrs. Naz Mansha, Mr. Umer Mansha, Mr. Imran Maqbool, Mr. Muhammad Ali Zeb, Mr. Shahmeer Khalid Butt, and Mr. Ismail Arif Rafi.
