Aisha Steel Mills Alerts Public on Fraudulent Use of Chairman’s Identity

Karachi: Aisha Steel Mills Limited has issued a public notice regarding the misuse of the name and likeness of Mr. Arif Habib, Chairman of the Company and the Arif Habib Group, in fraudulent online content. This development comes amid a troubling pattern of deception involving AI-generated deepfake material and fake accounts on platforms such as TikTok and Facebook. The notice, dated September 18, 2026, warns of unauthorized telephone solicitations targeting clients of the Arif Habib Group and the general public.

The Company has made it clear that neither Mr. Habib nor any entity affiliated with the Arif Habib Group has any involvement with the fraudulent schemes being promoted. The notice emphasizes that the Group has not launched, endorsed, or sponsored any investment scheme, platform, or telephonic solicitation. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), all official communications from the Group are released exclusively through the respective company's official web channels and the Exchange.

This public notice follows an earlier warning by Arif Habib Limited, which cautioned against similar fraudulent activities in July 2026. In response to the ongoing misuse, Aisha Steel Mills has placed an alert on its official website and lodged a formal complaint with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) on September 4, 2026. The Company seeks to have the fraudulent content removed and a case registered against the perpetrators.

The Company reiterates that Arif Habib Limited is the sole authorized entity within the Group for investment-related services. Investors and market participants are urged to refer exclusively to official announcements released through the Pakistan Stock Exchange’s information system.
