AKD Hospitality Limited Reports Increased Net Profit Margin Amidst Stable Turnover

Karachi: AKD Hospitality Limited has released its un-audited financial statements for the quarter and nine months ending March 31, 2025, revealing a stable gross turnover alongside a notable increase in net profit margin. The company reported a gross turnover of PKR 4.5 million, consistent with the corresponding period last year, while experiencing a decrease in gross profit by 17%. The net profit margin, however, improved significantly, rising to 39% from 22% in the previous comparable period.

The company's gross profit decreased from PKR 2,145,942 to PKR 1,789,802. Despite this decline, the after-tax profit saw an increase from PKR 987,008 to PKR 1,754,061, largely attributed to a reduced tax burden of PKR 479,699 related to a prior tax period. The basic earnings per share rose to PKR 0.70, up from PKR 0.39 in the same period last year.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), AKD Hospitality Limited has been navigating economic and political improvements in the country, although challenges remain in boosting travel and tourism activities due to lower purchasing power.

The company has expressed commitment to promoting environmentally friendly tourism practices. Management aims to reduce waste generation, conserve natural resources, and educate clientele, which they believe will enhance revenue and reduce operating expenses in the long term. Additionally, AKD Hospitality Limited has provided consultancy services for the development of hospitality projects to an affiliated company and plans to expand these services to other potential clients within its primary business domain.

The Board of Directors extended their appreciation to shareholders, employees, and clients for their support during challenging times, expressing optimism for improved results by year-end.
