Al Meezan Investment Management Reports Significant Financial Growth for 2026

Karachi: Al Meezan Investment Management Limited has disclosed notable financial results for the year ending June 30, 2026, showcasing a substantial growth trajectory across its managed funds. The company's Board of Directors approved the results in a meeting on August 18, 2026.

The announcement detailed the financial outcomes for several funds under Al Meezan's management, highlighting both distributions and fund performances. Among the notable declarations was the NIL final distribution for the Meezan Islamic Income Fund, while the Meezan Rozana Amdani Fund and Meezan Daily Income Fund adhered to daily distributions in line with their respective offering documents.

In terms of financial performance, Al Meezan reported a significant increase in total income, which rose to 239.48 million rupees from the previous year's 47.26 million rupees. This was driven by key income streams such as profit on savings accounts, which increased to 919,000 rupees, and dividend income, which saw a rise to 36.72 million rupees. The net realized gain on the sale of investments surged to 63.17 million rupees, while the net unrealized appreciation on re-measurement of investments resulted in an appreciation of 138.67 million rupees.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the financial results reflect a strategic growth in Al Meezan's management efficiency and investment acumen. The company's net income from operating activities soared to 226.38 million rupees, marking a very large or significant move from the previous year's 43.32 million rupees.

The expenses for the year also saw an increase, rising to 13.11 million rupees from 3.95 million rupees, covering management remuneration and associated taxes, trustee fees, and other operational costs. Nevertheless, the net income for the year before taxation stood at 484.39 million rupees, a very large or significant move compared to 81.09 million rupees in 2025.

The income available for distribution, which includes both capital gains and other income, totaled 484.39 million rupees, with capital gains accounting for 201.84 million rupees and other income amounting to 282.54 million rupees.

The comprehensive reports for each fund managed by Al Meezan are set to be transmitted to the PSX and made available on the company's website, ensuring transparency and accessibility for stakeholders.
