Al Shaheer Corporation Seeks Extension for Annual General Meeting Amid Financial Reporting Delays

Karachi: Al Shaheer Corporation Limited has submitted a formal application to the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) requesting an extension for holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and laying the financial statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. This request, filed on September 29, 2026, aims to extend the timeline by 30 days, pushing the new deadline to November 27, 2026.

According to the application, the Company cited the involvement of its finance department in proceedings initiated by a law enforcement authority. These proceedings, although primarily concerning another entity, have led to the unavailability of the Company's Chief Financial Officer since August 29, 2026, thereby affecting the timely completion of the financial statements. The last AGM was conducted on September 25, 2025, for the previous fiscal year’s accounts.

Additionally, Al Shaheer Corporation has also filed for an extension concerning the preparation and submission of its first-quarter financial statements for the period ending September 29, 2026. The Company has committed to sharing the SECP's approvals upon receipt.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Al Shaheer Corporation is categorized under the designated market category for equities. The move to seek extensions reflects the Company's current logistical and administrative challenges, emphasizing the regulatory and compliance pressures faced by listed entities.

In support of their application, the Company has included necessary documentation, such as a bank receipted challan of PKR 15,000 as an application fee and an affidavit supporting the extension request. Al Shaheer Corporation has stressed the importance of this extension in fulfilling its compliance obligations and meeting regulatory responsibilities effectively.
