Alfalah Asset Management Reports Mixed Results Amid Market Volatility

Karachi: Alfalah Asset Management Limited announced its financial results for the year ended June 30, 2026, revealing varying performances across its funds against a backdrop of market fluctuations. The results were approved by the company’s Board of Directors in a meeting held on August 21, 2026.

The Alfalah Islamic Money Market Fund recorded a net income of 7.01 billion rupees, a significant decrease from the previous year’s 9.21 billion rupees, reflecting a very large move. The decline in income was primarily due to lower returns on Government of Pakistan Ijarah Sukuks and income on Bai Muajjal, which fell sharply from the prior year. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the fund’s total income dropped to 7.59 billion rupees from 10.07 billion rupees, while expenses also decreased to 575.98 million rupees from 864.04 million rupees.

In contrast, the Alfalah Financial Sector Income Fund experienced a robust performance, reporting a net income of 1.41 billion rupees, compared to 1.13 billion rupees the previous year, marking a big move. The increase was largely driven by higher profits on savings accounts with banks. The fund’s total income rose to 1.58 billion rupees from the prior year’s 1.22 billion rupees, with expenses totaling 162.69 million rupees.

The Alfalah Islamic Amdani Fund (formerly Alfalah Islamic Rozana Amdani Fund) saw its net income drop to 618.87 million rupees from 2.43 billion rupees in the previous year, indicating a very large move. The decrease was attributed to reduced profits on bank balances and other income sources. The fund’s total income plunged to 707.12 million rupees from the previous year’s 2.71 billion rupees, while expenses were significantly reduced to 88.25 million rupees.

Lastly, the Alfalah GHP Islamic Pension Fund reported a total net income of 105.95 million rupees, with the Equity Sub-Fund contributing the majority at 60.23 million rupees. The Debt and Money Market Sub-Funds contributed 17.99 million rupees and 27.73 million rupees, respectively. The fund’s total income amounted to 122.79 million rupees, while expenses stood at 16.83 million rupees.

These financial results underscore the diverse market dynamics affecting Alfalah Asset Management Limited’s funds, as the company navigates through a year marked by both opportunities and challenges in the financial sector.
