Alfalah Consumer Index ETF Rebalancing Underway Following Regulatory Compliance

Karachi: Alfalah Consumer Index ETF (ACIETF) has announced the commencement of its portfolio reallocation process as part of a planned rebalancing effort. This action aligns with Section 96 of the Securities Act, 2015, Clause 5.6.1(a) of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Regulations, and the Offering Document of ACIETF, with the rebalancing becoming effective as of March 27, 2025.

The ACIETF, a financial instrument designed to track consumer-related stocks, is actively adjusting its portfolio starting April 10, 2024. The rebalancing process, crucial for aligning with the regulatory and market requirements, involves reallocation of assets within the index to ensure compliance and efficiency in tracking the designated market category.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), during this rebalancing period, the indicative Net Asset Value (iNAV) disseminated does not accurately reflect the true value of the underlying basket. This discrepancy highlights the importance of the reallocation process to provide accurate value representation.

The exchange has been informed that the portfolio reallocation is underway, with a commitment to notify once the process is completed. TRE Certificate Holders of the Exchange have been advised accordingly, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of the ongoing adjustments within the ACIETF portfolio.
